Deferred MBA Programs
It feels exciting to finally complete college, right? And I am sure many of you must be looking forward to that illustrious MBA you always dreamt of, but here is an ice-breaker! Most business schools require at least 2-5 years of work experience before you can apply to their flagship MBA programs as many MBA programs strive to be diverse, choosing candidates from different background domains to enrich their learning experience. Thus, if you are still in undergraduate or graduate school, fulfilling this requirement and then applying for an MBA program may seem like the roadblock which seems impossible to overcome
However, don’t loose on hope. as opposed to the traditional path to the MBA, in which you spend roughly three to six years earning real-world career experience before applying, Deferred MBA Programs offer a guaranteed path to business school before diving into the workforce. So, if you have planned for your future and clear on your goals of doing an MBA, a deferred MBA program is the perfect solution of your problem.
Eligibility for the program
Through these programs, you are eligible to apply to some of the top business schools with no work experience or you can apply while you are still in the final year of your undergraduate or graduate studies or are recently graduated. These business schools allow candidates with less or no work experience to apply for their flagship program. Deferred MBA programs give pre-admit to candidates who apply immediately after completing their undergraduate degrees or graduate degrees, or in their final year of undergraduate or graduate study. Selected candidates have the option of enrolling to program after two, three, or four years of gaining relevant work experience.
These programs give you an option to join their MBA class after gaining the necessary work experience in the deferred period. But then also, there remains no commitment on you to finally join to their MBA program
What does Deferred Program look for in candidates?
Deferred programs are available among leading MBA programs, at some of the most prestigious business schools, thus they’re extremely competitive. Thus, to make up for their lack of work experience applicants need to have a great academic record, high GPA’s, possess strong analytical and logical skills. They need strong GMAT™ scores and have demonstrated leadership potential and notable extracurricular experience. Thus overall, an exemplary profile is required to justify their selection over many others.
Why Should I apply to Deferred MBA programs?
